The NHIRC requests biannually, proposals for partnership projects between New Hampshire companies and academic institutions. The NHIRC’s mission is to foster innovation in companies so they may be more competitive by developing new products or processes. Applications are particularly encouraged in the following areas: Biomedical/Biotechnology, excluding clinical trials; Engineering; Information Technology; Life Science; Materials Science; Manufacturing.
The primary outcome of the NHIRC is to attract, grow, and retain companies in the state.

A Letter of Intent (LOI) is required prior to applying. It is a one-page project description on company letterhead and needs to identify the:
- Research concept
- Field of technology
- Commercial outcome of the project
- Anticipated impact on ability to create new jobs
The Letter should also indicate if you need help to identify a research partner in New Hampshire or should state who your research partner will be, including the name of their NH academic institution.
There is a limit of one letter/project per company and it must be signed by company representative. Please email the LOI to email@example.com
