Increasing Commercialization of Research and Creating JOBS in New Hampshire
The New Hampshire Innovation Research Center recognizes the importance of assisting companies, including faculty start-ups in obtaining funding above and beyond the initial funding they receive through the state-funded NHIRC award mechanism. To this end, the NHIRC will be offering SBIR workshops, assessments, proposal preparation and proposal reviews as a component of their services. The anticipated outcome is a further increase in the research dollars coming to New Hampshire's small businesses to make them more competitive and to foster their growth and collaboration with the state’s academic institutions. By supporting NH businesses as they apply for SBIR federal funding, NHIRC's goal to help these business's transition their research efforts into a commercialization plan will result in more high-quality jobs in New Hampshire.
